FOOD SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
The overriding business objective of WOSANA S.A. is to manufacture safe food, taking into account the customer needs and expectations. Out of concern for the customer welfare, as early as in 2006 the company implemented the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) system in all three manufacturing plants.
In view of the customer satisfaction and welfare, now in each of our facilities we have an operational certified Food Safety Management System – Requirements for any organisation in the food chain according to EN ISO 22000, which integrates and harmonises the requirements of HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Hygienic Practice (GHP). The system was certified in plant No. 3 (Damnica) in 2008 and in 2009 in plant No. 1 (Andrychów) and 2 (Turów). It is successively renewed and continuously developed and improved. The system effectively monitors and documents the entire food chain, and in the event of a threat to food security, eliminates it at an early stage.
Wosana has also been certified as en entity meeting the requirements of the International Food Standard (IFS), required by retail chains. Plant No. 1 in Andrychów certified the implemented standard in 2010, while Plant No. 3 in Damnica did the same in 2011 and Plant No. 2 in Turów in 2014. The standard's requirements are very detailed and in addition to overall quality objectives, they tighten supervision over the finished product safety in production and beyond, including such issues as handling foreign bodies, allergens, GMO, etc.
For our customers, these certificates are a tangible proof that our finished products are of the utmost quality.
